Le Soleil Montessori Infant Community and Le Soleil Montessori Children’s House are non-denominational, independent, private schools. They have a non-discriminatory policy relative to race, religion, and origin with respect to the admission of the students and employment of staff. The schools serve the educational needs of children from 10 months to 6 years old. They operate under the principles established by Maria Montessori and strive to maintain the high standards set in place by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Both facilities are licensed by the Community Care Facilities Licensing Branch and operate under the Provincial Child Care Facilities Regulations.

Founded in September 2022, the school is located on the corner of Nanaimo Street and 38th Avenue in East Vancouver (Collingwood area), a short walk to Victoria Drive and 41st Avenue. Norquay and Jones parks are close by for the children to enjoy.
Our school occupies the entire main floor of a beautiful, privately owned house with a lovely natural looking playground made from wood. We have a beautiful garden with a variety of flora and many different fruit and vegetables that the children learn to take care of. We also use these seasonal, fresh fruit and vegetables in our daily snacks, and the colourful flora allows for lots of wildlife to visit us and provides many opportunities for the children to observe and learn. A big outdoor covering is in place to protect the children from all of the elements.

Le Soleil Montessori Children’s HouseOur Children’s House opened its doors in October 2008 and is located at the corner of Tyne Street and 47th Avenue in East Vancouver (Killarney area), a short walk to Boundary and 49th Avenue and Central Park (in Burnaby). The Centre occupies the entire space of a privately owned house, with a complete Montessori classroom on the upper floor and a fully equipped kitchen, nap room, play area, and cloakroom on the lower level. It is surrounded by a beautiful spacious outdoor environment with a natural look: cedar playhouse, wooden picnic tables and benches, sandbox, bicycle path, and more.
